Technical QA Analyst [BHiveLab]

PURPOSE: BHiveLab is an innovation lab focused on emerging technologies that impact the customer journey.

Our business is growing and we’re looking for someone to grow with us! BRUNNER is an integrated marketing agency with a fast-paced, creative environment. You will provide strong Technical QA services and lead the QA requirements for complex technical projects. You will ensure that the project management and development teams provide services and products that match our client’s requirements, meet best practices and are reliable and scalable. You will be involved in the entire process liaising with all departments and functions making sure that quality is an integral part of the process and outcomes. You will be responsible for working with the project management and development teams during the discovery and design phase of a project and scoping the QA requirements for all stages of the projects as build progresses.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:

  • Review and analyze system specifications
  • Collaborate with Project Management and Development teams to build effective QA strategies and test plans
  • Execute test cases (manual or automated) analyze and action results
  • Evaluate product code and hosting platform parameters according to specifications
  • Create logs to document testing phases and defects
  • Report bugs and errors to the Project Management and Development teams
  • Help troubleshoot issues
  • Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing
  • Implement any learnings and findings into future projects
  • Provide timely feedback to the teams on updated findings and new approaches

BHIVELAB TEAM CULTURE:

  • Maintain high level of proficiency in all required techniques, technologies and software applications.                                                                                                                
  • Create test procedures, scripts and other custom processes to ensure that product and process quality is kept to a high standard
  • Manage multiple QA projects and priorities and proactively communicate relevant information and status to appropriate staff. Resolve QA resource conflicts through constructive interaction with team members.     
  • Follow agency procedures and accurately record time on a daily basis to achieve the desired level of productivity.  
  • Establish and maintain objective professional partnerships with clients, prospects, and others affiliated with the organization, while fostering positive relationships and collaboration between departments through day-to-day interaction.
  • Perform other duties as assigned – React to change productively and handle other essential duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related subject, Interactive and/or Information System Design and Programming. Business experience a plus.
  • 3 to 5 years of related industry experience in a technical or software development environment.
  • Proven track record of successful QA test and identify in a software build and deployment environment.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD implementation across a broad range of technologies, hardware and software, security and risk management.
